My computer doesn't recognize my camera
First of all, please make sure if you have installed proper driver for your camera. If you have not installed the driver, please install the driver first. You can find driver CD in your camera package. Please insert the CD into your CD/DVD device of your computer. It should start automatically so installation screen comes out when you put CD into drive. If you are not expert in installation, just click the installation link and follow by clicking next button to finalize the installation. Please make use that you are installing the proper driver. If you don't see any message other than driver signing warning, it will have been installing then. Please keep camera unplug during installation. Please plug the camera into available USB port of the computer after installation and wait a minute. In same cases you may need to restart your computer after installation. Don't take out the CD and plug the camera. Your PC may prompt for installation the driver. Please click yes and install the driver and wait a minute. After a while, there must be icon indication in the taskbar. Please also check hardware drive list if shown. If you have installed driver properly, hardware driver list and taskbar must show your PC camera. Check the AMCAP software in the program files where you have installed to. Indicate the camera device when you open AMCAP and test it. If all steps followed properly and no vision, camerafixer.exe may cause problem. Press ctrl alt delete at the same time and delete camerafixer.exe if in the processes list. You can restart your machine after this step and plug your camera after logged on. It must be working.
 
My camera doesn't work
Please proceed all steps given above, properly. If you have installed the driver of the camera that you want to use and no response, please remove the drivers with applications and reinstall once again after restart of your computer. If your camera has still no function, there either your computer or camera has problem. Use the other USB ports of your computer. Whenever you plug the camera into your USB ports, there must be a screen to ask you how to install the driver, if driver already installed choose automatic installation and this way computer uses driver files for the USB port that you've plugged in. Try all ports and check if working. And make sure your operating system is Ms Windows XP, there is enough RAM and HDD resources in your machine as well as CPU speed. Computer hardware effects the performance of the camera directly. Finally, if possible try your camera with another computer working well. If your camera with night-vision led, close the top if the camera with your hand check if leds are lighting. If you know the solution of your camera, you can try latest driver from our driver section. If leds are lighting means your computer recognized the camera. If no function, no recognition in all way, camera may has problem and contact with the company that you bought camera from and tell them what you've tried. If the company is BestCam business partner, must help you to solve the problem or give you new camera in case of that one damaged.
 
Leds of my camera don't work
We generally manufacture the night-vision led gets power according to how sensor senses the darkness so, in some semi-dark environment, a few leds might be not working. In dusk which means the duration daytime become night, generally in a five minutes just because sensing the darkness a few leds may be not working. When the field become dark, all leds must be working. The power of illumination of the leds are automatically adjusted according to the sensor which senses of the environment where you put the camera is. In a darkest field, leds must light in highest level. If in such a darkness, some of leds are working and some doesn't, may be damaged. Please take the camera to BestCam business partner to change the leds are not working.
 
My camera doesn't capture clear video
Clear video capturing depends on brightness of the environment, speed of computer and lens of the camera. First of all, please try to turn your lens right and left to focus on object that you want to capture. If this doesn't work, make the environment where you capture, brighter by lights or open curtains. There are various kinds of lens make you get clear capture, if doesn't still no clear capture, you can change your lens and finally, your can upgrade your computer. Also, if you reduce view of your capture size, you'll get better video data. And please wipe your lens of the camera with soft handkerchief dropped alcohol. If problem persists, consult your supplier please.
 
My software can not use my camera
BestCam supports all of major software provide visual communication such as MSN, Skype, Trillian, etc. We can not guarantee that our camera supports all software in the world. There are many unstable alpha version fully-bug softwares that you can download and run but doesn't use video options well. No one %100 percent warranty. Also, we love Linux however we can not create software for Linux. If you use popular software that supports camera well, must be able to use BestCam also. Please check if driver installed, camera plugged and other software can use the camera. If so and you still can not use camera with a software means you didn't configured the software well. Restart the computer after software installation and plug the camera before open that software and check the system if can communicate with the camera. Then open the software and check again. If still problem, enter the options / setup / configuration section to set the camera. If you can not, press F1 to ask help of the software. Let software to see the camera then it must work. 
 
My microphone doesn't work
Please make sure if your camera has microphone. If yes, there are two options: Microphone is built to camera as parallel or IC supports microphone internally. If parallel combined, there must be microphone cable and plug of the cable must be plugged to microphone jack on the computer. Microphone and audio out always consumed so please check if plugged properly. If IC supports, there won't be microphone cable. In both options, driver must have been installed properly. Consult the provider for further technical support.
 
Can I use more than one camera in a computer ?
In many cases, we have experienced that multiple camera usage has many problem because of resource confliction.
 
Why I see driver sign warning on installation ?
If you didn't change the default option, you'll receive warning about Ms digital signature when install software into computer. It doesn't mean anything, don't worry and continue to installation to use the camera.
